RWE – Yenda Prods Irrigation recently hosted a two-day pumping masterclass conducted by Rob Welke from Tallemenco. Casella Wines kindly provided their Jondaryan Avenue office as the venue.

The course highlighted advanced design techniques for pump and pipeline selection, incorporating Hazen and Williams friction coefficients, hydraulic optimisation, and pumping energy efficiency. The course covered electric, diesel and solar-powered pumps.

RWE engineering and design staff were joined by representatives from some of RWE’s corporate clients with large pumping requirements.

OVERVIEW FROM PRESENTER, ROB WELKE

Tallemenco’s ‘Pumping System Master Class’ (PSMC) this week, hosted by RWE – Yenda Prods Irrigation was attended by nine designers and farm managers from the Riverina district. Andrew McLean, one of four to attend from Casella Wines, said, “This course is amazing, the software Rob has written will hugely benefit our operations in assessing farm upgrade development life cycle costs.”.

That coming from a farm manager of Australia’s second-largest wine crush at 235,000 tonnes. Thanks very much for your contribution Andrew!

Many thanks to RWE – Yenda Prods Irrigation for hosting the course. Jak and Damon deliver Australia’s highest energy efficiency irrigation and pumping systems in both electric and diesel. Jak said that he was pleased to bring many of his clients to Tallemenco’s PSMC course as RWE shared the same high pumping energy efficiency aims and ideals that the course taught. Many thanks to RWE’s CEO Sally O’Keeffe for supporting us and sharing some class time with us all. RWE … what an awesome bunch!
