The Yenda Group is sponsoring local Coleambally farmer, Joe Briggs as he takes on the “Ride for Resilience”. The ride is a 406km cycling event for Active Farmers, raising money to help improve the physical and mental health in rural communities.
Taking place between 15 – 17 September, the 3-day ride starts at Forbes and finishes up at Mangoplah.
“Farmers run on the old “she’ll be right” theory…until they run out of she’ll be rights and then it’s far from alright.”
Joe doesn’t brag about his fitness for this task, he even says it’s “as good as the longe range weather forecast” but he’s giving it a go for his fellow farmers. So far he’s raised over $4,000 online with a total of almost $30,000 from other activities!
