Yenda Producers were pleased to attend a Griffith University of the Third Age presentation evening, where they unveiled a new sound system.

Griffith U3A offers a range of classes for those in the ‘age of active retirement’. The brand new sound system will make learning easier for the 80 or so members of Griffith U3A.

Yenda Producers Company Secretary, Anthony Nehme presented a cheque to the group on Monday 9 December alongside Managing Director, Peter Calabria.

“The system was around $3,000 and so we saw a fantastic opportunity for Yenda Producers to contribute to the education of older students in the local community”, said Mr Calabria.

The Griffith U3A was formed in 2003 and by drawing on the skills and interests of its members, it aims to create an informal learning community through the sharing of knowledge. Each class is followed by morning tea or afternoon tea to encourage socialisation, helping people to connect with others.
